Soft Borders is the 4th Upgrade! International Conference aiming the discussions and reflection on the new media art field.

The event will happen in São Paulo (Brazil) between 18th and 21st/october/2010 and will gather artists, curators and researchers from Brazil and more 30 countries. In the Brazilian committee participate known artists, professors, curators and researchers like Giselle Beiguelman (PUC-SP), Milton Sogabe (UNESP), Silvia Laurentiz (USP), Gilbertto Prado (USP), Luisa Paraguai (UNISO), Marcus Bastos (PUC-SP), Raquel Zuanon (Anhembi Morumbi), Mônica Bueno (Belas Artes / SENAC), Marcia Auriani (Anhembi Morumbi / Belas Artes), Hermes Renato (UNICAMP), Rosa Cohen (Belas Artes), Cynthia Malaguti, among others. In the international committee participate names like Yael Kanarek (Eyebeam, US), Jo-Anne Green (Turbulence.org, US), Basak Senova (Tukey curator, Bienal Veneza 2009), Cezanne Charles (Siggraph 2009, US), Horst Konietzny (Munich, Germany), Ela Kagel (Berlin, Germany) among others. The overall coordination is by Martha Gabriel (Brazil), Upgrade! São Paulo curator, entity associated with the Upgrade! International network.
